What is a Substitute Dentist?
Imagine having a far-away dentist in your family that is always willing to call in a prescription for you, answer any questions over text, give a second opinion, or tell you when you might be getting taking advantage of. That is what we do, and we want to be your Substitute Dentist. We've made it affordable to have an unbiased, dental fiduciary in your corner. Find a plan that works for you.
Substitute Dentist is a service provided by Stark Dentistry. We are located in South Jordan, Utah but we're here for all Utah residents through teledentistry.
How does it work?
Upon enrollment, you'll be guided to complete an online intake form, mirroring the questions we'd ask in person. For urgent care or inquiries, we'll promptly review your form, assess your needs, and contact you within 15-90 minutes. Most consultations will be conducted via phone, and text, though video calls may be necessary. Dr. Stark will provide advice and appropriate prescriptions, which you can pick up at your pharmacy. For second opinions, questions, or consultations, we'll confirm your needs, review your information, and reach out to you within a day or two. Expect second opinion video reports within four business days.

Rx for Pain, Infections, Cold Sores etc.Within a couple of hours of enrolling you'll be connected with Dr. Stark. He'll provide prescriptions that you can pick up at your pharmacy if necessary. While pain medications and antibiotics might not completely address your dental issue, they can offer temporary relief as you arrange for necessary care. Second Opinions & ConsultationsDo you need confidence in your treatment plan? Within 4 business days of enrollment and x-ray submission you will receive a video report with Dr. Stark sharing his screen and discussing your case. He will often incorporate Overjet AI, the leader in dental artificial intelligence. Questions can also be asked anytime. Just text us! Teledentistry has limitations, but having someone in your corner can save you from a bad decision, or give you confidence in a good one.
